Kim Jong Un Participates in the Voting for Councilors and Encourages the Candidates to Serve the People On November 26, 2023, Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, participated in the election at Polling Station No. 26, Constituency No. 55, South Hamgyong Province in the elections of deputies to the people’s assemblies at the provincial, city and county levels. When Kim Jong Un arrived at the polling station located in the Ryongsong Machine Complex, the working class of the complex burst into thunderous cheers of «Hurrah!» expressing their gratitude and joy at seeing the marshal they had long dreamed of on this meaningful election day at their workplace. Kim Jong Un cordially waved back to all the cheering voters and then walked towards the polling station. Kim Tok Hun, Ri Il Hwan, Oh Su Yong, Kim Yo Jong, and Hyon Song Wol went together. Kim Jong Un received the ballot papers from the head of the sub — district election committee and cast his votes for Kim Jong Hak, a candidate for deputy to the South Hamgyong Provincial People’s Assembly and manager of the Songun Cast Iron Works of the Ryongsong Machine Complex; Ri Chol Hak, a candidate for deputy to the Hamhung City People’s Assembly and head of the Third Machine Workshop of the Ryongsong Machine Complex; and Rim Chol, a candidate for deputy to the People’s Assembly of Haean District, Hamhung City and deputy head of the Statistics Department of Haean District. After voting, Kim Jong Un met with the three candidates for councilors and encouraged them to always keep in mind the trust of the local working class and the people of Hamhung City, and to make active contributions to the cause of building a prosperous and powerful country with a high sense of patriotism and creative enthusiasm. Kim Jong Un hoped that they would strive to become true representatives of the people and true public servants who selflessly struggle to safeguard and realize the rights, interests and demands of the people.
